12 Hours of What?
Performance, Jerzy Grotowski Institute, 2024

This twelve-hour performance was realised as part of the international project Laboratory of Perception, organised by the Jerzy Grotowski Institute in collaboration with the Intermedia Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. The project included several months of workshops and lectures led by esteemed figures such as Paula Garcia, Kamil Guenatri, Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca, Arti Grabowski, and Ryszard Kluszczyński. The project culminated in the event 12 hours of what?, where each participant performed a twelve-hour action in the spaces of Bulwary in Wrocław.

My performance revolved around working with objects with holes, which I began collecting in mid-2023. At the time of the performance, my collection consisted of exactly 600 items. A special "collector’s jumpsuit" was designed and crafted for the performance, featuring 60 pockets tailored to store small, found objects — in this case, objects with holes.

During the twelve-hour performance, I continuously worked on the collection of found objects with holes, which were initially hidden inside the collector’s jumpsuit. The key aspect of the performance was, on one hand, the act of pulling objects out of the pockets, revealing, and presenting them. On the other hand, it was about creating a temporal collection that underwent constant transformation throughout the action.
